Hame fae Hame and our very own Kaye recently featured in the latest Shetland College case study all about apprentices and the value they bring to workforces!
Kaye Sandison, owner of Hame fae Hame, has vast experience of recruiting apprentices as part of her workforce.
Hame fae Hame is a private nursery based in Scalloway, primarily dealing with young and preschool children, and school aged children for after school care. Founded in 2008, Kaye and her team recently won a Lloyds Bank/Sunday Times “Small Business of the Year” award from a nationwide competition.
“I have always valued apprenticeships” explained Kaye. “I have found it to be an excellent way to train staff, not only in the qualifications that they need, but it also allows your staff to learn your company’s ethos. Apprenticeships allow your staff to learn on the floor, and back that experiences up with training”.
